I couldn’t agree more, Pat. I firmly believe in eating well every day rather than dieting. One of the things that I especially hate is all that rubbish marked low-fat: give me good yoghurt, proper milk and real butter. And, of course, good steak…

how’re ye doing ,just reading all about corned beef on your site and lots of others,I can’t understand the big deal all of a sudden I’m 57 and I reckon I’ve never went more than 3 weeks at a time while at home in Dublin without having corned beef for my sunday dinner,sure the most butchers shops in meath street D8. have survived on selling the stuff as far back as I can remember.As for those saying it is a traditional Jewish dish I don’t think so .Was’nt that one of the scandals of the famine times circa 1847 : the ships leaving cork harbour filled with corned beef while the population of Ireland was starving.Hope ye don’t mind me little rant.Thanks liam.
